Wind Advisories Issued for Northeastern U.S.

National Weather Service warns of high winds and dangerous wind chills.

The National Weather Service issued wind advisories for the Northeastern U.S. on Monday. Over 100,000 people across New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine experienced power outages Monday night due to strong gusting winds.

Low-pressure systems near the Canadian Maritimes have caused high winds with possible gusts of up to 60 miles per hour in some areas. Travel advisories have also been issued as powerlines and trees have been knocked down by the powerful winds. Alerts of severe windchill factors have been released as well.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the National Weather Service as they alert residents of the Northeast to severe conditions.
  • For the power companies and the safety of workers trying to get electricity back on for thousands of people.
  • For protection for people who are without heat with the extreme windchills.
